Our own construction office with its development section and burner testing station enables tailormade solutions and customer-
orientated implementation.
New burner developments are directly tested and subsequently optimised. Refractory and burner products are produced and installed by Fbb employees at the company’s headquarters in
Kaarst-Büttgen, near Düsseldorf in Germany.
Burner Products
Fbb predominantly develops and produces burners for applications
in the aluminium, steel and chemical industries.
Fbb burners can be operated using all gases and fuel oils – from the lowest to the highest heating value, whereby combustion air temperatures of 20°C to 1200°C are possible.
Regenerative systems achieve the highest degree of efficiency and
are subject to constant further in-house development.
In line with specific applications and customer requirements, burners
and burner systems are designed and produced with ceramic or metal air/gas nozzles.
Our range of burner types for the various applications comprises: side- and rooffiring, pulse-mode or long-flame and radiant tube burners. Pilot burners can be provided for all burner types.
Fbb’s product and project planning success has always rested on the commitment of its employees in finding solutions to problems and maintaining direct customer contact, regardless of whether we are acting as supplier or general contractor.
Refractory Components
Prefabricated insulation for pipes and riser, a special focus of Fbb’s product range, is predominantly used in under-fired reheat furnaces (walking beam furnaces and pusher type furnaces) in the steel industry.
The specific benefits of this technology include short installation
times, high energy-saving potential and long service life.
Heat-loss calculations as well as precise component design form the basis of our own production, thus enabling extremely fast delivery.
Our range of products and services is rounded off by teams
of installation engineers and consultants.
Along with all our other ceramic components, for example special roof bricks (Diaphragma) and Fbb’s durable ceramic air nozzle, which forms the centrepiece of our burner technology, are also produced in our own workshops.
